I’m a massive fan of the iPad and I do all my work on it. I don’t own a laptop as my iPad is my laptop as well as my notebook, textbook, reading book and everything else and I absolutely love it and will always pick it over a Mac.

But in saying that, I know fully well that the iPad has some catching up to do if wants to be neck and neck in the debate between iPad and Mac. For me I think this is really a simple thing to fix.

The iPad has got the same chips as the Mac with the latest ones having better chips than them in fact. The iPad should have a tablet mode and a laptop mode that can be toggled in the control centre. Laptop mode should integrate MacOS features that the iPad lacks. The iPad can handle it with the chip and the hardware like the Magic Keyboard and screen size should never be an issue with 11” and 13” available. And of course you still get the tablet that you know and love.

Well said, that sounds like a great solution but I think Apple seems adamant on separating the iPad and Macs.

Also just wanna say thanks for reading the blog and commenting—been super busy lately and this kind of engagement is helping me stay motivated.

I hear that. I think it just comes down to people preference.
