The iPad Pro and my school’s football team’s trophy shelf have one thing in common: they look the exact same as they did four years ago.
From my perspective, the iPad Pro has achieved near perfection in terms of hardware.
However, it looks like Apple’s disagreeing with me: here are a few potential hardware changes for the iPad Pros (let me know what you think by leaving a comment!)
According to the rumors, the iPad Pro was expected to come out in early 2023.
However, the introduction of this year’s iPad Pros makes me question the accuracy of this timing—why would Apple release a major update just months after the 2022 iPad Pros?
Based on rumors, it would likely be released in fall of next year. This timing pattern makes more sense than what was gussed for the 14.1” iPad Pro—Apple has released an iPad in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and it makes sense that the pattern will continue into 2023.
While exciting, these rumors also scare me. The cost would likely be around the $1400 price point for the iPad alone. And anyone who spends that much on an iPad would probably want accessories (which could cost upwards of $500) to make the most of it.
Additionally, Apple might slim the bezels on the current iPad designs. While some might want this change, I do not - there should be some bezel left over to make it easy to hold the iPad.
Apple might also improve the camera, though it’s unnecessary for the vast majority of users.
What do you think?
Now it’s your turn—what do you think about these rumors? What do you want to see in the new iPad Pros? What do you not want to see?
