iPadOS 19 is expected to be more Mac-like.
This is what everyone wants.
But Apple’s execution of iPad software over the past few years has been abysmal.
It’ll probably end up the same way again.
Here are 4 potential features we could see at WWDC.
Menu Bar
Some people are expecting a menu bar for the iPad.
Think about a Mac menu bar. Now think about it on your iPad screen.
I really don’t see it happening, but the idea appears to have picked up a lot of steam.
My Prediction: this isn’t happening or it’ll be very disappointing
Stage Manager 2.0
I was excited for Stage Manager, but I was disappointed.
Once again, I’m excited. But this time, I have no expectations.
My Prediction: this will happen but it’ll be disappointing
Better Siri
Siri has actually been getting pretty good. I will be writing an article about it pretty soon.
I’m excited for the new improvements. If anyone has messed around with OpenAI’s Operator or Anthropic’s Computer Use, Apple appears to bringing more agentic workflows to Siri. That is something I’m super excited for.
iPads in general seem to have unnecessarily long workflows at times when compared to Macs. Automating some basic processes would be pretty neat.
My Prediction: This will happen and it will surprise a lot of people
Extended iPhone Display
This is a very weird feature, but apparently Apple is adding the ability to extend your iPhone to a monitor.
I am not sure why this is happening. My best guess is that this has something to do with the foldable iPhone coming soon. Once that device comes out, it could make sense to have connectivity to an external monitor.
There is no way I’m connecting my current iPhone to a monitor though 😂
My Prediction: think it’ll happen next year
Final Thoughts
Slowly getting back up to speed. Have been busy with work, school, and side projects.
Thanks for reading!

PS—Shoutout to Concepts ⬇️
Concepts is an "unlimited canvas" note-taking app I've used for years (if you don't believe me, check my post history). I use it to take notes, brainstorm article ideas, and come up with startup ideas.
It's one of the few apps I highly recommend for every iPad user out there. And I genuinely believe this (again, check my post history if you wanna verify this claim).
Concepts has been kind enough to offer a free 30-day trial. And no, you don't have to enter your credit card info.
Show Concepts some love ❤️—they're amazing sponsors.
