Apple just dropped the second batch of features for Apple Intelligence. Hereโs what you need to know as an iPad user.
Image Playground
Image Playground lets users create unique images with:
themes
costumes
accessories
and places
You can use text descriptions and photos to personalize creations. For instance, you can create images based on friends/families from your own pictures.
It offers distinct styles like Animation (3D tech-y look) and Illustration (simpler designs).
Genmoji
Genmoji generates emojis based on your description.
You can also upload photos to create Genmoji based on friends and family. You can customize these with accessories or certain themes/activities.
Image Wand
Image Wang generates images from rough sketches. Just circle a sketch.
You can also generate images based on context from handwritten/typed text. To test this out, circle an empty space.
Images are created in three styles: Animation (3D techy), Illustration (simpler design), and Sketch.
Describe Your Change
At the moment, Writing Tools has three options: Rewrite, Proofread, and Summarize.
Describe Your Change is a new feature that gives you more control. You can specifically say what you want to adjust and itโll make the necessary changes.
ChatGPT
Users can now access ChatGPT in Siri and Writing Tools.
Siri will recommend ChatGPT requests if needed, while the Writing Tools integrations gives users the ability to generate text and images.
Of course, Apple has built-in privacy mechanisms: it has to be enabled, a ChatGPT account is not required, etc.
I wonder if Sora will be added soon. I doubt it.
Final Thoughts
Nothing crazy, especially from an iPad perspective. That said, Image Wand seems pretty interesting and I might test it out when my iPad is ready (currently going through some software issues atm).
Thanks for reading!
