Over the past few years, the iPad Pro has been promoted as a laptop alternative, especially with the release of the Magic Keyboard. In fact, I’m using an iPad Pro right now to type up this article. But an almost unheard of idea is using an iPad Mini as a laptop alternative.
With the release of the iPad Mini 6, I’ve been thinking of a few different use cases for the “tiny” device. One idea I’ve been thinking of has been using the iPad Mini as a mini-laptop.
Once this Brydge keyboard for the iPad Mini becomes updated for the new 6th generation iPad Mini, this dream could even become a reality. While it’s not realistically going to be the best idea, it is a fun idea to think about.
While I don’t have an iPad Mini, it appears to be the same size as an iPad Pro 12.9 split in half. If my measurements are correct, that means that using apps shouldn’t be that bad. The main issue would be being cramped with the keyboard, but even that could be fixed by using a separate bluetooth keyboard instead of the Brydge keyboard I discussed earlier.
What do you think about using the iPad Mini as a laptop? Do you think some people may actually find a use case for it? Or do you think it’s a complete waste of money for anyone? Let me know!
Sorry for not writing a full post this week! I’ve been sick for the past couple of days, so I wasn’t able to work on writing new content. Next week, I’ll be discussing one of my favorite features from iPadOS 15.
Thanks,
Aditya
