The iPad Mini is awesome. If I had to trade in my current iPad, I’d probably go for it.
Which is convenient—that’s because we’ll probably get a new iPad Mini this month.
iPad Mini 6 (aka the one we have right now)
This is a weird way to start the discussion, but an important one.
If you want an iPad Mini, retailers are having big discounts (Best Buy in the US has them at 20% off).
This is also a big indicator that the 7th gen mini is coming soon.
When Will We See It?
Good question.
Probably Apple’s October event.
When’s this? No idea.
Last year, it was around October 30th. So maybe Halloween?
What Can We Expect?
Nothing crazy this time around.
Faster Chip
Current one has A15 and came out three years ago. So probably A17 or maybe even A18.
Better Cameras
Not sure who uses their iPad Mini to take photos, but I guess it’s helpful.
No More Jelly Scrolling
Will make experience smoother, so appreciated.
Better WiFi + Bluetooth
Probably won’t be able to tell the difference.
New Colors
Could be nice. Would love to see some more vibrance (the iPad Pro’s colors are too boring for me).
Why Should I Care?
No reason. Nothing big is going on. Just a cool update to a cool iPad model.
AI?
Apple Intelligence might also come soon. Be on the lookout.
Final Thoughts
Thanks for reading!

PS—Sorry about the short post. School’s catching up again.
If you’re also a student and you’re feeling overwhelmed, check out Concepts.
It's one of the few apps I highly recommend for every iPad user out there. And I genuinely believe this (check my post history if you wanna verify this).
Concepts has been kind enough to offer a free 30-day trial for Overoptimize readers. And no, you don't have to enter your credit card info.
Yet another great blog post!
School is always catching up. Feeling the pressure now myself. Great to see another blog post!
